To the Onyxum family,
As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve, we want you to know that Onyxum is doing everything it can to help. During this difficult time, we all need to work together to keep our customers and teammates, as well as ours and our family safe and this must be our number one priority: staying safe!
As a result, for your protection and that of your teammates, friends and family we strongly recommend that you limit your visits to the affiliates’ offices to only emergencies and instead stay at home and work online.
Although many of us are not aware that we can actually develop our business by working online from home by using social media or tools for remote workers, like the chat app Slack or video conferencing app Zoom, nowadays everyone can boost their business through social media outlets and different online tools.
The adjustment can be difficult at first, so we are here to help you with practical solutions. Here are some ways to make working from home easier.
1. Create your own home office.
If you don’t have a home office, you can create one by doing something as simple as moving a nightstand into a corner far away from distractions, putting your computer or cell phone and sitting in an upright chair! With a dedicated workspace where you can concentrate, it becomes easier to unlock the benefits of online work. So, do as much as you can to create a small space exclusively for work.
2. Establish a routine
Creating a system that works and following it every day is a brilliant way of starting your journey in working from home. Your routine and outlooks might not fit in nearly as flawless as you expected, and that is okay. The point is to make use of your productive times for the challenging responsibilities and your less productive times for the errands.
3. Stay connected
Working remotely can feel isolating at times, so as part of your routine, try to interact with your teammates regularly. Chatting over messaging apps like Slack, Viber, etc and holding meetings over Zoom or another video app are two quick and easy ways to stay in the loop.
4. Keep spirits up
Make no mistake, these are stressful times. Yet, we definitely will overcome this situation and the life will go back to normal. So, don’t let negativity suck up all your energy and stay positive by appreciate your home and those who are with you as that is the key to overcome this challenging condition.
We will continue to update you on important information as the situation evolves. In the meantime, please be safe and continue to protect yourself and your families, as well as team members.
